Water Management Excursion

For one of my classes, Spatial Problems and Spatial Policies: The Dutch Experience, we have bus excursions around The Netherlands. Yesterday we traveled up to the North Coast and all the way down in a big loop towards the Amsterdam area. The theme of the excursion was Water Management which is a huge component of the Dutch culture, hence all the pictures of the coast!

The mud flats.

It was a quiet Saturday morning with only a few people out and about.

Typical Dutch houses in the countryside.

It was nice to be back in the countryside for a little bit.

Old church.

Getting dem photos :)

The harbor in Volendam, a very touristy but cute little town.

Packed lunch on the waterfront.

Doris the duck was our lunch buddy

Tulips galore!

So it begins...

Hello all! As a person that takes an absurd amount of pictures everywhere I go, I decided that I don't want to keep bombarding and clogging up my Facebook page with all of my favorite pictures from study abroad. I also figured it would be a nice, organized way to look back on my time abroad. So, a photo blog it is!
